KUTZTOWN, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles women's golf team kicked off action at the Millersville Fall Women's Classic on Monday, with Clarion finishing the first round tied for fifth place with a team score of 343. They finished the first 18 holes even with Bloomsburg, and one stroke behind California (PA) for fourth place.

Action will resume at Berkleigh Country Club on Tuesday.

McKayla Kerle finished the first day of action in third place overall in the field with a score of 79, just one stroke behind second place Sabrina Swope of Millersville and three strokes behind leader Brooke Graham of Kutztown. Hot on their heels was Hannah Smith, who finished the first round with a score of 82, which ranked second on the team.

Amber Roth checked in at third for the Golden Eagles with a score of 90, and Rylie Quaiser rounded out the team's scoring on Monday with a 92. Ashlee Albright filled out the team entry with a score of 108.
