BEAVER FALLS, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles tennis team fell in non-conference road action on Thursday, dropping a 7-0 decision to Geneva in their second match of the fall.

The Golden Tornadoes took the doubles session on Thursday evening, though the Golden Eagles took one of the three matches on the court to put the pressure on Geneva. The doubles pairing of
Taelyn Thomas and
Chloe Albrecht won the No. 2 doubles match, beating Abigail Anderson and Emma Kline by a 6-2 score. Geneva won the other two matches on the court, to take the doubles point.

In singles play, the most competitive match of the night came in No. 2 singles, where
Emily McMahan went toe to toe with Rachel Hodsden. McMahan won the first set 6-1 before Hodsden won a tiebreaker in the second set, sending the match to a third. Hodsden held on for a tight tiebreaker win, taking the third set 11-9 for the win.

The Golden Tornadoes won all of the other matches contested in singles action by straight sets, locking up the 7-0 team win.
Tessa Folino had a godo showing in the No. 6 singles match, taking two games from Julia Grove, while
Chloe Albrecht took three games from Paige Phillips at No. 4 singles.
