ASHLAND NETTERS TOP CLARION 9-0

Jaclyn Metzger

(Ashland, Ohio): In the final dual meet of the Fall 2010 season, Clarion dropped a 9-0 decision to Ashland on the road on Sunday afternoon. The Golden Eagles defeated Lake Erie 6-3 earlier in the day.

In singles play Jaclyn Metzger lost 6-2, 6-0 to Victoria Goudy, while Michaela Hardy at #2, Brittany Buchheit at #3, Alysia Sturdivant at #4 and Lauren Eonta all lost their matches 6-0, 6-0. Andi Gibson lost 8-0 at #6 singles.

Metzger and Hardy lost 8-1 to Goudy and Cooper at #1 doubles, while Buchheit and Eonta lost 8-1 to Pasley and Ware at #2 and Sturdivant and Gibson lost 8-0 to Sullivan and Kotova.

The Golden Eagles finish the Fall season with a 2-6 overall record.
