CLARION NETTERS LOSE 7-2 TO WEST CHESTER
 
                (Indiana, Pa.): Lauren Zezenski (So. Bernville) and Madeline Robinson (So. Amherst, N.Y.) won singles matches but it wasn't enough as the Golden Eagles dropped 7-2 dual meet decision to West Chester in a crossover match held at IUP.

                Clarion dropped to 1-1 overall this season, while West Chester raised its record to 4-0.

                The Golden Eagles  won the first two singles matches when Lauren Zezenski (So. Bernville) defeated Alison Fetter 6-2, 6-4 at #1; and Madeline Robinson (So. Amherst, N.Y.) defeated Gabriela Durand 6-2, 6-1 at #2. West Chester won the remainder of the single matches.  Megan Bettwy (So. Hollidaysburg) lost 6-1, 6-2 to Alexandra Santoro at #3;  Jessica Kennelly (Fr. Aliquippa) lost 6-2, 6-0 to Haley Wissinger at #4; Michaela Hardy (Sr. Greenland, N.H.) lost 7-5, 6-4 to Nicole Nardi at #5; and Claire Kerstetter (Jr. Renovo) lost 6-1, 6-1 to Jami Dumler at #6.
 
                In doubles action the Clarion team of Bettwy and Robinson lost 8-5 to Wissinger and Fetter at #1; Zezenski and Kennelly lost 8-1 to Durand and Dumler at #2; and Hardy and Kerstetter lost 8-3 to Santoro and Nardi at #3.
 
                The Golden Eagles return to action on tomorrow when Clarion hosts Cheyney at 9am.
