CLARION NETTERS DEFEAT CHEYNEY 9-0

                (Clarion Pa.): The Clarion Women's Tennis team swept seven matches and won two forfeit matches to defeat Cheyney 9-0 on Saturday morning at the Campbell Courts.

                Clarion finished its Fall season with a 2-1 dual meet record. The win on Saturday opened Homecoming activities and took placed prior to the annual ALF Festival Parade.

                The Golden Eagles  won singles matches when Lauren Zezenski (So. Bernville) defeated Taylor Bilington 6-0, 6-0 at #1; Madeline Robinson (So. Amherst, N.Y.) defeated Erica Kellem 6-0, 6-0 at #2.   Megan Bettwy (So. Hollidaysburg) defeated Jasmine Pitt 6-0, 6-0 at #3;  Jessica Kennelly (Fr. Aliquippa) defeated Jessica Laroda 6-0, 6-0 at #4; Michaela Hardy (Sr. Greenland, N.H.) defeated Natasha Lyburn 6-0, 6-0 at #5; and Claire Kerstetter (Jr. Renovo) won by forfeit at #6.
 
                In doubles action the Clarion team of Bettwy and Robinson won 8-0 over Billington and Kellem  at #1; Zezenski and Kennelly won 8-0 over Pitt and Laroda at #2; and Hardy and Kerstetter won by forfeit at #3.
