CLARION NETTERS DROP 6-3 DECISION TO TITANS

                (New Wilmington, Pa.):  Megan Bettwy (So. Hollidaysburg) and Michaela Hardy (Sr. Greenland, N.H.)won singles matches and the #2 doubles tandem of Madeline Robinson (So. Amherst, N.Y.) and Lauren Zezenski (So. Bernville) also posted a win, but it wasn;t enough as the Golden Eagles dropped a hard-fought 6-3 decision at Westminster on Friday evening.

                The Golden Eagles record drops to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Spring, while the Titans raised their overall record to 18-1-1.

                In singles competition Lauren Zezenski dropped a tough 3-6, 7-5, 10-5 decision to Alex Bailey at #1, Madeline Robinson lost 6-2, 6-2 at #2, Megan Bettwy won 6-2, 6-1 over Jane Larson at #3, Caitlin Clemons lost 6-0, 6-0 to Heather Santa at #4, Michaela Hardy won 6-3, 6-3 over Lauren Fling at #5 and Jessica Kennelly lost 6-4, 6-4 to Beth Ekimoff at #6.

                In doubles action Bettwy and Clemons list 8-4 to Bailey and Hosler at #1, Robinson and Zezenski won 8-6 over Santa and Fling at #2 and Hardy and Kennelly lost 8-6 to Larson and Ekimoff at #3.

                Clarion is next in action at Slippery Rock on March 26.
