CLARION NETTERS DROP 9-0 MATCH TO CAL
(Clarion, Pa.): The Clarion women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision on Saturday to California at the Campbell Courts.
The Golden Eagles dropped to 3-4 overall in 2012-13 and 0-2 in the PSAC-West, while California raised their overall record to 8-8 and 3-0 in the PSAC-West.
In singles action Clarion lost all their matches by a 6-0, 6-0 score.
Lauren Zezenski lost to Lucie Sipkova at #1,
Madeline Robinson lost to Ramona Czakon at #2,
Megan Bettwy lost to Alexandra Borgenhoff at #3,
Michaela Hardy lost to Ludie Rey at #4,
Jessica Kennelly lost to Jade Pondicas at #5 and
Claire Kerstetter lost to Elizabeth guy at #6.
In doubles action
Megan Bettwy and Caitlin Clemons lost 8-0 to Sipkova and Rey #1,
Madeline Robinson and Lauren Zezenski lost 8-0 to Czakon and Borgenhoff at #2, while
Michaela Hardy and Jessica Kennelly lost 8-1 to Maxime Colen and Elizabeth Guy at #3 doubles.
Clarion returns to action on Thursday, April 4 at Allegheny. Match time is 5pm.
