(Greensburg, Pa.):  Clarion's Madeline Robinson (So. Amherst, N.Y.), Megan Bettwy (So. Hollidaysburg) and Jessica Kennelly (Fr. Aliquippa) were double winners on Sunday night as the Golden Eagle Women's Tennis team opened their Spring 2013 schedule with a 7-2 win over Seton Hill at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
 
            Clarion raised its overall record to 3-1 and spring record to 1-0 with the win, while Seton hill dropped to 5-9 overall.
 
            In single action Lauren Zezenski lost 6-3, 6-3 to Megan Hudak at #1; Madeline Robinson defeated Faith Finoli 6-2, 6-3 at #2; Megan Bettwy defeated Lauren Duffy 6-3, 6-3 at #3; Caitlin Clemons lost 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 to Rebecca Cenkner at #4; Jessica Kennelly defeated Laura Boord 6-1, 6-0 at #5 and Claire Kerstetter defeated Chelsea Pence 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 at #6.
 
            In doubles action Bettwy and Clemons defeated Hudak and Finoli 8-2 at #1; Zezenski and Robinson defeated Duffy and Cenkner 8-5 at #2 and Michaela Hardy and Kennelly defeated Boord and Pence 8-1 at #3.
 
            Clarion head coach Joshua Thorpe won his first dual meet as the Golden Eagles new head coach. Clarion will play at Westminster on March 15.
