CLARION NETTERS DROP 7-2 MATCH TO EDINBORO
 
                (Clarion, Pa.):  Clarion won two matches by default, but lost the other seven hard fought matches on Sunday afternoon and lost to visiting Edinboro by a 7-2 margin.
 
                Held at Clarion's Campbell Courts in extremely windy conditions, the Golden Eagles drop to 3-6 overall and 0-3 in the PSAC-West, while Edinboro raised its record to 14-6 overall and 1-3 in the PSAC-West.
 
                At #1 singles Lauren Zezenksi lost 6-0, 6-1 to Oranza Carrillo, Madeline Robinson lost a tough 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) decision to RyAnne Baldwin at #2; Megan Bettwy lost a tough 6-3, 6-2 match to Kendal Stephens at #3; Michaela Hardy lost a close 6-4, 6-3 match to Nevena Kulina at #4 and Jessica Kennelly lost 6-0, 6-2 to Lydia Browne at #5. Claire Kerstetter won by default at #6.
 
            In doubles action Bettwy and Caitlin Clemons lost 8-5 to Baldwin and Stephens at #1; Robinson and Zezenski lost 8-4 to Carrillo and Browne at #2 and Clarion's team of Hardy and Jessica Kennelly won by default at #3.
 
                Clarion returns to action on Tuesday at 4pm when the Golden Eagles host IUP at 4pm at the Campbell Courts.
