EAGLE NETTERS LOSE PSAC-WEST OPENER AT IUP 9-0

(Indiana, Pa.): Clarion opened its PSAC-West women's tennis schedule on Thursday with a 9-0 loss at IUP's Maple Street courts.

Clarion's overall record dipped to 3-8 and 0-1 in the PSAC-West, while IUP is now 7-5 overall and 2-0 in the West.

In singles matches Lauren Zezenski lost 6-0, 6-0 to Tanya Timko at #1, Megan Bettwy lost 6-2, 6-3 to Erika Schaas at #2, Madeline Robinson lost 6-3, 6-2 to Sophie Butland at #3; Jessica Kennelly lost 6-2, 6-0 to Ranvita Mahto at #4, Jessica Dgien lost 6-1, 6-0 to Rachel Wood at #5 and Allison Probst lost 6-0, 6-1 to Alanna McFail at #6.

In doubles play Zezenski and Robinson lost 8-2 to Timko and Schnaas at #1; Bettwy and Kennelly lost 8-2 to Butland and McFail at #2 and Dgien and Probst lost 8-0 to Mahto and Wood at #3.

Clarion travels to play California at Noon on Friday at the Glen Creek Tennis Club in South Park, is scheduled for its home opener hosting Seton Hill Saturday at 1pm.
