EAGLE NETTERS OPEN 2015 WITH 9-0 WIN AT ALFRED (Alfred, N.Y.): Sporting a roster with four freshman, the Clarion women's tennis team opened the 2015-16 season with an impressive 9-0 win at Alfred University on Sunday afternoon.
Held at the William T. Brown Courts, Clarion has a 1-0 record while Alfred is 0-7.

Alivia Arnold opened her career with a 7-5, 6-0 win over Rachel Cook at #1;
Maria Snyder defeated Emma Jackson 7-5, 6-4 at #2;
Sarah Robbins defeated Emma Seimer 6-2, 7-6, 10-7 at #3;
Jessica Kennelly defeated Kallie Clapper 6-1, 6-4 at #4;
Vinisha Reddy topped Sarah Grace 6-1, 6-0 at #5 and
Michelle Petrilla defeated Abby Williams 6-2, 6-3 at #6.
In doubles action Arnold and Snyder defeated Cook and Jackson at #1 8-2; Robbins and Kennelly downed Clapper and Grace 8-2 at #2 and Reddy and Petrilla defeated Seiemer and Gillett 9-7 at #3.
The Golden Eagles next action will be Sunday September 27 at Daemen.
