BEREA, Ohio – The Clarion women's tennis team came back from a 4-3 deficit to win a non-conference dual match on the road, as the Golden Eagles beat Baldwin Wallace 5-4 at Pop Collins Tennis Courts on Friday.  With the win Clarion improves to 4-7 in dual matches on the season.
 
Clarion trailed the Yellow Jackets 4-3 at one point but was not ready to give up.  The Golden Eagles won two straight matches at the conclusion of singles play to come back and win 5-4.  Clarion took two of three doubles matches, which ended up being the difference in victory.
 
The Golden Eagles won the first two doubles matches off the court to start the day, with the pairing of Sarah Robbins and Jessica Kennelly opening the match with an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles.  Michelle Petrilla and Allison Probst added another doubles win, beating Kathleen Moser and Shannon Finkenthal 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.
 
Robbins won the first singles match off the court due to her opponent retiring, giving Clarion a 3-1 lead in the match.  Baldwin Wallace won three straight singles matches to take a 4-3 lead but the Golden Eagles tied it up with a win at No. 1 singles.  Alivia Arnold won a first set tiebreaker with Kelsey Blatt and came back from a second-set loss to win a full third 6-3 to take the 7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-3 decision.  Clinching the match victory was Reddy, who won two straight sets at the end of a three-setter with Kelly Peskura to take the victory.
