CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion women's tennis team fell in a tough decision to a PSAC opponent at home on Saturday, dropping a match to Mercyhurst by a 9-0 at Campbell Courts on campus. With the loss the Golden Eagles fall to 4-8 in dual matches and 0-4 against PSAC opponents.

The Lakers proved to be too much for the Golden Eagles to handle, as Mercyhurst claimed all three doubles matches and all six singles matches on the courts on Saturday.Â
Alivia Arnold and
Maria Snyder put forth a good fight in the No. 1 doubles match but ultimately fell to the pair of Adrianna Jeffress and Kayla Frost by an 8-2 score. Arnold also fell in the No. 1 singles match to Saioa Gomez de Segura by a 6-0, 6-1 score, while Snyder loss to Jeffress 6-0, 6-1 in No. 2 singles.

Sarah Robbins had a good effort in a loss at No. 3 singles, falling 6-1, 6-1 to Carmen Mantecon Duro, while the Lakers won the remaining singles matches on the court in straight sets.
