CLARION, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles tennis team wrapped up their home schedule on Friday with a resounding victory on Campbell Courts, with Clarion beating Saint Vincent 6-1 on a sun-splashed afternoon in Clarion.
 
Clarion kicked things off by clinching the doubles point, winning the Nos. 1 and 3 doubles matches to take the extra point against the Bearcats. Polia Vladeva and Emily McMahan took the former, beating Sydney McWreath and Ashley Thiel by a 6-1 score. Alana Jackson and Eliza Harrington topped Cecilia Hickin and Sofia Tehrani in the No. 3 match, dropping them by a 6-2 score to put the Golden Eagles ahead by a 1-0 score in the team match.
 
The singles session was a dominant effort for the Golden Eagles, who won five of the six matches on the court to lock up the win. McMahan picked up her second win of the day, beating McWreath 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match, while Harrington won the No. 6 singles match by a 6-3, 6-4 score over Tehrani.
 
Also winning her second match of the day was Jackson, who survived a second set tiebreaker as well as a third set against Hickin for the win. Jackson won the first set 6-2 but dropped a tight second set to Hickin, losing it by a 7-6 (5) score. Jackson rebounded with a win in the third set, beating Hickin 10-6.
 
Taelyn Thomas and Abby Rodgers also won singles matches on Friday, winning the Nos. 3 and 4 singles matches respectively. Thomas beat Emily Pierce in straight sets, winning 6-4, 6-3, while Rodgers beat Thiel 6-0, 6-3.
