CLARION, Pa. - Clarion head football coach Chris Weibel announced today the addition of 26 student-athletes to the Golden Eagle football program for the 2019 season.  The group includes high school seniors that will come to Clarion as freshman, as well as a number of transfers from other institutions.

"I want to thank our coaching staff, who has worked tirelessly to bring in the recruiting class of 2019," Weibel said.  "I believe we have identified exceptional talent that fits our schemes as well as our program values. "

The roster additions include 22 players coming to Clarion as freshmen, as well four talented transfers that will try to make an immediate impact.  They include a pair of transfers from PSAC rival Seton Hill in quarterback Michael Proios and offensive lineman Jake Lindner, Erie Community College (N.Y.) defensive lineman Mark Lanier, and Ocean County College (N.J.) offensive lineman Joe MacAvoy.
