Box Score CLARION, Pa. – Edinboro avenged a loss earlier this season with a win on Clarion's senior day, as the Golden Eagles fell 5-2 to the Fighting Scots at Campbell Courts on Wednesday afternoon. Clarion (1-8, 0-4 PSAC) will continue PSAC West action on Tuesday when they face off with Slippery Rock.

Alivia Arnold and
Vinisha Reddy at No. 1 doubles, taking leads of 1-0 and 2-1 and holding on to those advantages for the 6-4 win. Laura Lopez and Hannah Brentar swept the No. 2 doubles match to clinch the point.
Â
Katie Benson scored a win in the No. 4 singles match to tack on a point for Clarion, defeating Paige Morris 6-0, 6-0 to help the Golden Eagles pull closer with the Fighting Scots. Combined with
Sarah Kirmeyer's win by default at No. 6 singles, Clarion had opportunities to pull closer with Edinboro, with Brentar held off
Hailey Germanoski in a spirited No. 5 singles match to lock up the win. Arnold also played a tight match with Laura Lopez at No. 1 singles, keeping it close in the first set before Lopez won the second.
