CLARION, Pa. - The Clarion women's swimming team concluded the two day Clarion Fall Classic ending the weekend with much success in the water.
For the women,
Sarah Murray and
Maddy Murphy got things rolling in the 1650 Free, picking up first and second p[lace with times of 19:04.98 and 19:21.33 respectively.Â
Kaitlynn Henninge wasn't far behind, picking up a fourth place finish with a final mark of 19:40.14.
The 200 Medley Relay team of
Stephanie Setar, Mandy Dial,
Haley Miller and
Hannah Greenway, took home first place with a final time of 1:52.19, while the Clarion "B" team finished third racing to a 1:53.90 finish.Â
In the very next event for the women, Golden Eagle
Jordan Kutchak, touched the wall with a final time of 2:00.43 in the 200 Free good enough for a first place finish.Â
Setar and Kutchak finished in the top five of the 100 Back, with Setar taking the victory with a time of 1:02.26, while Kutchak touched the wall with a final mark of 1:04.60.
The quadruplet of
Sydney Davidson,
Tidawee Srun,
Hailey Fry and Dial took the top for spots in the 100 Breaststroke, as Davidson paced the field with a final time of 1:08.41.
FULL RESULTS
Haley Miller found herself in the top spot of the 400 IM with a final time of 5:02.95, while
Corina Paszek finished in second with a mark of 5:03.69
In the later events Setar continued her early success, taking first in the 200 Back with a final time of 2:17.30.Â
Rounding out the scoring for Clarion was the 400 Free Relay team of Kutchak, Miller, Paszek and Greenway who took first with a final time of 3:45.95.Â
The Golden Eagles will return to action on October 30, when they host Allegheny in a non-conference meet starting at noon.Â
