CLARION, Pa. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the members of their 100 Greatest Women's Swimmers and Divers today. Dr. Jamie Wolf Jackel, a 2007 Clarion graduate and 2014 inductee into the Clarion Sports Hall of Fame, was among those selected to this most prestigious of lists.
Â
Nearly three thousand athletes were nominated, with a blue-ribbon panel of current and former college swimmers, coaches, and members of the media making selections from a list of 973 finalists. Eighty-seven swimmers and thirteen divers were selected.
Â
Wolf is, simply put, the most accomplished women's diver in the history of NCAA Division II. Under the tutelage of coach Dave Hrovat, she won an NCAA record seven Division II national championships from 2004-07, making her the only diver in NCAA history to win seven titles. A three-time Division II Women's Diver of the Year, she won both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives in 2004, 2005 and 2007. As a junior in 2006 she won the title in the 3-meter dive and took runner-up honors in the 1-meter dive.
Â
"We are very proud and honored to recognize Jamie yet again on her outstanding career here at Clarion," said head men's and women's swimming & diving coach Bree Kelley. "She exemplifies everything this program stands for and what it takes to be a champion. She and Coach Hrovat set the bar extremely high for the future of this program, and we are so very proud to have her be recognized as one of the greatest at her craft."

Â
Not just an accomplished athlete, Wolf was also recognized for her amazing accomplishments in the classroom and in the community. She graduated in 2007 with a 4.0 GPA in Molecular Biology, and that year was named the CoSIDA Division II & Division III Academic All-American of the Year across all sports. She was a finalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year award and the first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) athlete to earn the NCAA Top VIII Award, doing so in 2008. She was also named the PSAC Pete Nevins Scholar Athlete of the Year. Wolf earned a NCAA Post-Graduate scholarship to Ohio State, where she earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics in 2013.
