AKRON, Ohio – The Clarion women's swimming & diving team completed their weekend at the Zippy Invitational hosted by Akron, taking sixth place overall with 478.5 points, the highest placing of all Division II teams.Â
In the 200 Back Stephanie Setar finished in 27th place, touching the wall with a final time of 2:09.38. Tidawee Srun had a strong showing in the 200 Breaststroke finishing 21st with a final time of 2:22.47.
"School finals begin this week, we get back to training and have IUP on Saturday, then we head to Florida for our spring training trip," siad head coach Bree Kelley. "It's time to get back to work and prepare for our next big meet."Â
Rounding out the day for the Golden Eagles was the 400 Free Relay team of Haley Miller, Corina Paszek, Jordan Kutchak and Hannah Greenway. The "A" team quartet finished the race in 3:31.75.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action Saturday, December 11th, when they head to IUP to take on the Crimson Hawks.
"We have some pretty high goals," said Kelley. "We sure aren't done yet."
