CLARION, Pa. --- Playing their fourth match in the last seven days and their third home match in the last four, the Golden Eagle tennis team dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match to IUP at Campbell Courts on Tuesday afternoon. The Crimson Hawks defeated Clarion by a 7-0 score.

IUP rolled their way through the doubles session, winning all three matches to clinch the first point of the day. The pairing of Ming Deewajee and Dani Ramos beat Clarion's Davan Lion and Josie Beckerleg in the No. 1 doubles match by a 6-0 score, and the other two Crimson Hawk doubles teams followed suit en route to a doubles sweep.

The momentum for the Crimson Hawks spilled over into singles play, where they were also able to take all of the matches contested. Taelyn Thomas put up a solid effort against Lina Teleshun in the No. 6 singles match, taking a game off her in the first set but ultimately falling 6-1, 6-0. Deewajee won the No. 1 singles match by a 6-0, 6-0 score over Lion, while Beckerleg fell in straight sets to Katy Graydon in the No. 2 singles match.
