CLARION, Pa. --- Three divers on the Golden Eagles women's swimming & diving team hit their first NCAA qualifying marks of the season at the PA D-II Diving Invite on Friday night, setting up a climactic day of action on Saturday in Tippin Natatorium.

Madina Schebler,
Mya Lee and
Reese Norton all recorded NCAA qualifying scores in the 1-meter dive 11-dive list, sweeping the top three spots in the event and setting themselves up for a big day in the PA D-II Last Chance Diving Invite on Saturday. Should any of them record an NCAA qualifying score in that meet, they will earn a trip to the NCAA Division II Championships pre-qualification meet in March. Four other Golden Eagle women –
Luna Castellanos,
Colleen Hudson,
Katie Madigan and
Taelyn Thomas – have already qualified for the meet.

Schebler was the Golden Eagles' leading scorer on the 1-meter board, posting a score of 408.60. Her best dive of the event came on her fifth attempt, a Forward 2 ½ Somersault Tuck that netted 48.00 points. Lee followed with a score of 399.55, while Norton took third with a score of 390.65.

Thomas was Clarion's leading scorer through six dives on the 1-meter board with a mark of 304.35. Castellanos placed second with a 287.55 and Hudson followed with a 255.45.

On the 3-meter board, Castellanos was the leading finisher with a score of 306.15. The senior broke 50 points on five of her six dives, including a score of 55.35 on an Inward 2 ½ Somersault Tuck. Hudson was second with a score of 265.90, followed by Thomas's third place finish at 262.45.
