CLARION FALLS TO BLOOMSBURG IN 3-1 LOSS

CLARION- The Golden Eagles drop a tough game to Bloomsburg University 3-1 late Wednesday night.

Bloomsburg took the lead late in the first have in the 41st minute.

Amanda Lewis scored the lone goal for Clarion 17 minutes in the second half to tie the game at 1-1.

The game was a possession battle for most of the second half until Bloomsburg broke up the tie with a goal over the head of Clarion goalkeeper Jenna Kulik in the 79th minute.

Lewis led Clarion with a total of two shots, while Bethany Naugle, Jordan Daloisio, Jill Miller and Lauren Barbour each had one of their own.

Kulik made nine saves in the game.

The loss dropped Clarion's record to 4-8-4 overall and 4-6-3 in the PSAC.

Clarion will return to the field for the final time this year on Saturday, October 30th at memorial stadium to face off against PSAC opponent Edinboro at 3pm. This will also be Clarion's senior day.
