Kulik sets Clarion shutout record; Eaton wins 150th game as a head coach

Jill Miller lifted the Clarion University women's soccer team to an historic 1-0 win at Millersville Friday afternoon.
The victory is the fourth PSAC win for the Golden Eagles (4-3-3 overall, 4-1-2 PSAC) on the season setting the school record for conference wins bettering the three Clarion had in 2007. The victory also keeps the Golden Eagles alive and well in the PSAC playoff race with 14 points, good for eighth place in the conference.
“We played quite well, especially in the first half,” Clarion's first-year head coach Rob Eaton said.
Senior
Jenna Kulik recorded the shutout, her third of the season and the 11
th in her career giving her the school record for career shutouts. She had been tied with Jessica Reed (2004-07) for the school mark.
The victory is also the 150th career win for Eaton who in his 14th year coaching men's and/or women's soccer has a career collegiate mark of 150-114-15.
“I didn't even know it until the players told me after the game,” Eaton said. “I don't keep track of that sort of thing.”
Clarion returns to action at noon Saturday against at one-loss West Chester.
NOTES – Miller's assist extends her school-record in points to 36 … Clarion is ranked 10th in the Atlantic Region by the Nation Soccer Coaches Association of America.
