Amanda Lewis was the hero of the night netting the only goal of the game as Clarion beat conference-opponent Mercyhurst 1-0.
Wednesday's game was as tight as it could be going 81 scoreless minutes until Lewis broke the silence and scored off an
Erin White assist. The goal came off a set play after a Mercyhurst foul.
Golden Eagle goal keeper,
Jenna Kulik, can also be given credit for the win making six saves off a plethora of Mercyhurst shots.
The win moved Clarion to a winning record 2-1 within the PSAC, and 2-3-1 overall.
The Golden Eagles will go on a two game road trip before returning home October 2nd to face Slippery Rock at 7pm at Memorial Stadium.
