EDINBORO – Edinboro scored two second-half goals to down visiting Clarion 2-0 in PSAC women's soccer action Wednesday evening.
 
Clarion goalkeeper Lauren Saussol played well stopping nine of 11 Fighting Scot shots on goal but gave up a goal to Samantha Kaiser in the 66^th minute and then a late one to Steph Tighe in the 87^th minute.
 
“We played well,” Clarion head coach Rob Eaton said. “I'm not displeased with the way we played. We just happened to play a very good team.”
 
The Golden Eagles (4-10-2 overall, 2-9-2 PSAC) got three shots on goal and six overall. Alyssa Liebdzinski, Crystal Miller and Lindsay Thill had Clarion's shots on goal.
 
Kaiser, meanwhile, who scored her 13^th goal of the season off an assist from Catherine Messmer, led Edinboro (12-3, 9-3) with five shots on net and nine total shots.
 
Clarion returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Kutztown at Memorial Stadium. It will be Senior Day for the Golden Eagles.
