EDINBORO – Edinboro scored two second-half goals to down visiting Clarion 2-0 in PSAC women's soccer action Wednesday evening.
Clarion goalkeeper Lauren Saussol played well stopping nine of 11 Fighting Scot shots on goal but gave up a goal to Samantha Kaiser in the 66
th minute and then a late one to Steph Tighe in the 87
th minute.
“We played well,” Clarion head coach Rob Eaton said. “I'm not displeased with the way we played. We just happened to play a very good team.”
The Golden Eagles (4-10-2 overall, 2-9-2 PSAC) got three shots on goal and six overall.

Lindsay Thill had Clarion's shots on goal.
Kaiser, meanwhile, who scored her 13
th goal of the season off an assist from Catherine Messmer, led Edinboro (12-3, 9-3) with five shots on net and nine total shots.
Clarion returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Kutztown at Memorial Stadium. It will be Senior Day for the Golden Eagles.
