(Shippensburg, Pa.): The Clarion baseball team dropped a 13-0 decision to Shippensburg on Sunday in the final game of the Golden Eagles Spring trip.
Held at Art Fairchild Field, Clarion finished its trip with a 2-11 record while the Red Raiders upped their overall record to 6-10.
Shippensburg jumped out to a big lead early scoring two in the first and second innings and then posted an eight run third to race ahead to a 12-0 lead and the game was over.
Clarion's
Bill Hasson was the starter and loser giving up seven runs in two – plus innings.
Seth Peterson came on to pitch 1.1 innings and yielded six runs, none of them earned, on five hits.
Matt Warhola tossed 1.2 scoreless innings and
Corbin Ragley pitched a scoreless seventh.
Clarion is scheduled to play a doubleheader at Mansfield on Friday, March 18, with the home opener set for Saturday March 19 at Memorial Stadium.
