CLARION DROPS 2-0 DECISION TO EAST STROUDSBURG

Casey Harsch had three shots on goal

Box Score Clarion,  Pa. – Clarion's goalie Laura Saussol racked up 15 saves, but the Golden Eagles fell to East Stroudsburg 2-0 Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.

It was scoreless going into the 40th minute when Cree Julian scored off a Sarah Garman assist giving East Stroudsburg (5-2-2 overall, 4-1-1 PSAC) a 1-0 lead going into the half.

“If we would have gone into the half tied 0-0 I would have had more confidence going into the second half,” Clarion head coach Rob Eaton said. “We are banged up as a team and it cost us down the stretch.”

Early into the second half Clarion (1-7-2, 1-6) fell behind 2-0 when East Stroudsburg's Ashley Mckenna scored in the 49th minute.

Saussol had a strong performance saving 15 of the 17 shots she faced.  Casey Harsch had three of the team's four shots on goal.

Clarion will travel to Erie, Pa. Wednesday to take on Gannon at 6:00 p.m.
