Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Allowing a goal in each half, the Clarion University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision in its final road game of the season at Bloomsburg Wednesday night.
Jenna Fisher gave the Huskies (8-9) a 1-0 lead in the 20
th minute when Tara Huber beat three Golden Eagle defenders and passed to Fisher, who capitalized for the ninth time this season.
That goal was the lone tally of the first half despite Clarion (4-9-3 overall, 3-9-3 PSAC) outshooting Bloomsburg 6-4 on shots on goal in the half.
Then, 50 seconds into the second half, Huber got free on a breakaway and beat
Laura Saussol for her 10
th goal of the year and 2-0 Bloomsburg lead.
Danielle Fiorelli made that lead stand up making seven saves.
Saussol had 11 saves for the Golden Eagles, who had seven different players put shots on net.
Nikita Bonnell had one of those and led Clarion with two total shots.
Clarion finishes its season at 7 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Lock Haven at Memorial Stadium.
