                (Indiana, Pa.):  Clarion sophomore Drew Pirritano and freshman Mike Lockhart had three hits each on Saturday in a doubleheader at IUP, but the Crimson Hawks swept the Golden Eagles in a PSAC-West doubleheader by scores of 12-2 and 10-0.
 
                Held at Dougherty Field, Clarion's record dropped to 1-25 overall and 1-13 in the PSAC-Western Division, while IUP raised its overall record to 18-13 and PSAC-West mark to 4-6.
 
                IUP took early leads in both games and never looked back to sweeping the doubleheader.
 
                In game one the Hawks scored 4 in the first off starter and loser Ryan Voisey, then scored three in the third for a 7-0 lead.
 
                Clarion scored its two runs in the fourth when Mike Lockhart singled with one out,  followed by singles from Joey Lopez and Josh Ponsoll to load the bases with one out.  Joey Gierlak singled to right for an rbi, and Drew Pirritano lifted a sacrifice fly to center for the Eagles second run. Brett Sutika walked to reload the bases with two outs before Jordan Mesoraco struck out to end the inning.
 
                IUP scored twice in the fifth and three times in the sixth to win 12-2.
 
                Pirritano and Lockhart were 2 for 3 in the game, while catcher Nick Maskrey was 2 for 4. Voisey pitched 5 innings and yielded 9 runs, 8 earned while walking 2 and striking out 1. Drew Vendermeer pitched one inning giving up 3 runs while striking out 1.
 
                In game two the Eagles managed only three hits, all singles, by Pirritano, Lockhart and Ponsoll.
 
                IUP scored two runs in the first, four in the second, two more in the third and fourth to jump ahead 10-0.
 
                Tyler Delval was the Eagle starter going 2 innings while giving up 7 runs, 5 earned, while walking 1 and striking out 1. Kevin Gnacinski pitched the final four innings yielding 3 runs, 1 earned, while walking 2 and striking out 1.
 
                The two teams will meet again on Sunday at IUP with the doubleheader starting at 1pm. Clarion's Memorial Stadium field was not playable and the game was moved to IUP.
