CLARION DROPS MILLERSVILLE/WOMEN'S TENNIS RUNS RECORD TO 7-0 (Hilton Head, S.C.): The Clarion Women's Tennis Team, under second year head coach
Joshua Thorpe, has upped its season record to 7-0 with a 5-0 win over Millersville on Monday in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The match opened with a doubles sweep to put Clarion ahead 3-0. Clarion's
Lauren Zezenski and
Madeline Robinson defeated Tori Davis and Kaylora Thompson 8-2 at #1;
Megan Bettwy and
Maria Snyder defeated Kimberly Theophile and Nicole Daacke 8-2 at #2 and
Jessica Kennelly and
Allison Probst defeated Samantha Brzenk and Brandi Wolgemuth 8-2 at #3.
In single play
Jessica Kennelly defeated Magge Karr 6-4, 6-2 at #5, and
Jessica Dgien defeated Brandi Wolgemuth 6-4, 6-0 at #6 for a 5-0 lead and the match was stopped there.
Clarion is scheduled to play Catholic University on Tuesday.
