CLARION NETTERS LOSE 9-0 AT THE ROCK (Slippery Rock, Pa.): The Clarion Women's Tennis team traveled to Slippery Rock on Tuesday and dropped a 9-0 decision to The Rock in a PSAC-Western Division matchup.
Clarion's record dips to 8-8 overall and 0-5 in the West, while Slippery Rock is now 10-9 overall and 3-2 in the West.
In singles action
Lauren Zezenski lost 6-1, 6-0 to Carla Corrochano at #1;
Megan Bettwy lost 6-0, 6-0 to Nina Barbano at #2;
Madeline Robinson lost 6-2, 6-0 to Ana Petrovic at #3;
Maria Snyder lost 6-3, 6-3 to Stephanie Fortier at #4
; Jessica Kennelly lost 6-1, 6-0 to Emily Munson at #5 and
Jessica Dgien lost 6-0, 6-0 to Kylee Woodman at #6.
In doubles action Bettwy and Robinson lost 8-3 to Corrochano and Barbano at #1; Zezenski and Snyder lost 8-3 to Fortier and Woodman at #2 and Kennelly and Mulligan lost 8-2 to Petrovic and Munson at #3.
The Golden Eagles close out the Spring season hosting Edinboro on Wednesday at the Campbell Courts at 3:00 p.m. the match will also serve as Senior Day with Zezenski, Bettwy and Robinson honored in their final match.
