CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion women's tennis team won for the third time in its last four dual matches, bouncing back from a Friday loss to defeat Shippensburg 7-2 at Campbell Courts on Saturday.  The Golden Eagles (3-1) currently have no other matches scheduled this fall.
 
The Golden Eagles wrapped their fall schedule with a dominant effort against the Raiders, winning two of three doubles matches and all but one singles match to secure the five-point victory.  Alivia Arnold and Maria Snyder again combined for three points themselves, teaming up to beat Shippensburg's top doubles duo and winning their respective singles matches.  They downed Catherine Miller and Gabbie Binder in the No. 1 doubles match by an 8-2 score, while teammates Katie Benson and Cindy Severi won over Victoria Galanti and Hannah Coath 8-4 in the No. 3 match.
 
Snyder cruised to a quick win in singles play, beating Binder 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 2 singles match, while her doubles partner crushed Miller 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 1 singles match.  Michelle Petrilla also made quick work of her singles opponent, beating Emilie Luttman 6-3, 6-3 in the third spot.  Severi gave up just one game to Megan Moorhead at No. 6 singles, winning 6-0, 6-1, and Benson wrapped the day with a straight-sets win over Coath.
