CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion tennis team returned home for its first match at Campbell Courts of the spring season, falling by a 9-0 score to the IUP Crimson Hawks. The Golden Eagles (5-6, 0-2 PSAC) will host California (Pa.) on Saturday.

The Crimson Hawks came out and performed well in the damp conditions on Tuesday, taking all nine matches on the court for the shutout win. IUP claimed straight-sets decisions in all six singles matches and also controlled action in doubles play.

The doubles tandem of
Alivia Arnold and
Maria Snyder have been excellent of late but faltered in the No. 1 doubles match, losing 8-1 to Jarka Petercakova and Luise von Agris.Â
Michelle Petrilla and Allie Probst battled but also fell 8-1 to Raquel Gonzalez and Rachel Wood.
