AMHERST, N.Y. – The doubles team of Alivia Arnold and Maria Snyder went 1-1 in the top bracket on Saturday night, and the Clarion women's tennis team finished off their second day at the Daemen Invitational with good showings in doubles as well as singles consolation.  The tournament will conclude on Sunday.
 
Playing in the Wimbledon (No. 1 doubles) bracket, the duo of Arnold and Snyder won their first match to advance.  They started the day with an 8-4 decision over Daemen's Gretchen Ringler and Lorissa Yuen, and followed with an 8-3 loss to Nthabi Mogopodi and Andrea Gallardo of Roberts Wesleyan.
 
The pair also both won their respective singles consolation matches.  Arnold defeated Allegheny's Gaby DeLeon by an 8-4 score, and Snyder beat RIT's Shayna Ginster 8-1.  Those were part of a 5-3 day for the Golden Eagles in singles consolation.  Hailey Germanoski recorded an 8-2 win over Daemen's MacKenzie Robbins, and Michelle Petrilla blanked Niagara's Jasmin Vargas by an 8-0 score. 
 
Elsewhere in doubles, the duo of White and Petrilla lost their first match of the day but won in the consolation, beating Jessica Robbins and Morgan Park of Daemen.
