AKRON, Ohio – The Clarion men's swimming & diving team finished off the weekend at the Zippy Invitational hosted by Akron, taking sixth place overall with a score of 514 to conclude the three-day event.

Ty Rabenstein started the day off in the 1650 Free, taking home a 10
th place finish. He touched the wall with a final time of 16:19.40.

Josh Thruston excelled in the "B" heat of the 100 Free, finishing in the top-10. Thruston touched the wall in 45.52 for a ninth-place,
Jacob Yant took 21
st with a final time of 46.79.

Elsewhere,
Paul Flowers had a strong showing in the 200 Breaststroke, taking 19
th with a time of 2:08.34. Freshman
Connor Cary had a great showing in the 200 Fly, finishing with a final time of 1:52.08, good enough for fifth place.
Frank Bevevino finished the "C" heat in 19
th place with a final time of 2:01.76.

Rounding out the day was the 400 Free Relay team of Cary, Thruston, Flowers and Yant, who finished eighth with a final time of 3:05.45. The "B" team of
Hayden Harmon,
Hayden Steiner,
Tate Swanson and Nate Luey finished the afternoon with a top-15 finish, touching the wall in a final time of 3:18.93.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action Saturday, December 14
th, when they host the IUP Crimson Hawks at the Tippin Natatorium in dual meet action. This will be the inaugural meet inside of the newly renovated Tippin Natatorium. Swimmers are set to take to the blocks at noon.
