Box Score SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Clarion tennis team played their penultimate match of the season on Tuesday, falling by a 7-0 score to Slippery Rock in a PSAC West clash.  The Golden Eagles (1-9, 0-5 PSAC West) will close the season next week against Mercyhurst.
 
The Rock opened up with a sweep in the doubles session, taking the three matches on the court to take a 1-0 lead.  Lacey Cohen and Lois Page defeated Alivia Arnold and Vinisha Reddy by a 6-1 score in the No. 1 doubles match, and the pair of Olivia warner and Lauren Fadden also won by a 6-1 score to clinch the point.
 
Arnold put up a fight against Cohen in the No. 1 singles match, but ultimately fell by a score of 6-1, 6-0.  Hailey Germanoski also managed to take a game in her match, striking against Allie Welch in the No. 5 singles match, but Welch held on for the straight sets win.  The Rock took the remaining five matches on the court to secure the win.
