The loss moves the Golden Eagles to 1-3-0 on the season while the Lakers improve to 3-1-2 overall.
Â
The Golden Eagles (1-1-0) played tough on both ends of the field, placing four shots in the match, two on goal, while Mercyhurst showered the net with seven shots on goal and 16 total shots.

Impressed with the squad's improvement, Ream said, "The team created chances and kept the ball in possession extremely well."

Courtni Hamm, along with
Grace Mullen and
Tori Pembleton.
Splitting time between the pipes, goalkeepers
Brynn Markley and
Alexandra Velez each made two saves on the night but the Laker attack was too much for the Blue and Gold.
The young offense showed signs of improvement on Sunday afternoon, recording two shots on net against a stingy Mercyhurst defense and four shots on the night.
Noting that there's always ways to get better, Ream said, "There's much to learn from this match and we're excited heading into the last week of this spring season."
