GREENVILLE, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles tennis team enjoyed one of their best efforts of the autumn on Saturday afternoon, sweeping Thiel 7-0 for a victory in the penultimate match of the fall season.

Everyone played a hand in the Clarion win on Saturday, with all six players winning both their doubles match as well as their singles match.
Davan Lion and
Josie Beckerleg improved to 4-3 in doubles play together, beating the duo of Toby Atwood and Emily Peters 6-3 in the No. 1 doubles match. The doubles point was already clinched at that point, though, was the Golden Eagles won the Nos. 2 and 3 matches. Stephanie Juarez and
Polia Vladeva beat Megan Harding and Mila Brdar by a 6-0 score, and
Taelyn Thomas and
Caidyn Demchak clinched the point with a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.

Lion also bumped her fall singles record to 4-3 as well, cruising past Atwood 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles match to make it 2-0. Vladeva made it a 3-0 advantage with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Sabrina Robison, and Thomas locked up the team win with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Mila Brdar.

The Golden Eagles were not done, however. Juarez took a straight sets decision over Megan Harding at No. 3 singles, and Demchak held off Chloe Walton at No. 6 singles to win it 7-5, 6-1. Beckerleg finished things off with a three-set win in the No. 2 singles match, with Beckerleg winning the first set 6-3 and Emily Peters the second by a 6-1 score. That took things to a third set breaker, with Beckerleg winning by a 10-8 score.
