CLARION, Pa. --- The Golden Eagle tennis team played their first home conference dual of the spring on Saturday, falling by a 7-0 score to Slippery Rock at Campbell Courts.

The Rock won both matches contested in the doubles session, giving them an early 1-0 advantage in the match. The duo of Nicole Kempton and Amaia Balaguer Brau won the No. 1 doubles match over
Davan Lion and
Josie Beckerleg by a 6-1 score, while Gabriela del Val del Toro and Nuria Martin Lopez beat
Stephanie Juarez Murguia and
Taelyn Thomas by a 6-0 score in the No. 3 doubles match.

Lion played a competitive match against Balaguer Brau in the No. 1 singles match, but ultimately lost by a 6-0, 6-2 score. Beckerleg also managed to take a game in her singles match, losing 6-0, 6-1 to del Val del Toro at No. 2 singles. The Rock swept the remaining three singles matches on the day, winning them all by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
