CLARION, Pa. --- The Golden Eagle tennis team played their second home match in as many days on Sunday, falling by a 7-0 score to Lock Haven at Campbell Courts. Clarion played a series of tight matches against the Bald Eagles but could not find a way to break through against their opponent.

The closest match of the day was the No. 3 singles match, where
Charlie Allison went to a third set tiebreaker against Mary Hillman. Allison won the first set handily, dispatching Hillman by a 6-0 score, but Hillman responded with a 6-4 second set win to force the tiebreak. The pair was neck-and-neck in the third set, but Hillman held on for a 10-7 win to take the match victory.

Stephanie Juarez Murguia played a close match of her own, falling in two tight sets to Olivia Sharp. Sharp won the first set of the No. 5 singles match by a 6-4, score, and then was forced to take a tiebreaker in the second set to win by a 7-6 score.
Polia Vladeva and
Taelyn Thomas also dropped close straight-sets matches, falling 6-4, 6-4 and 6-4, 6-3 in the Nos. 4 and 6 singles matches, respectively.

Allison and Vladeva played the most competitive doubles match of the day, pushing Sharp and Christy McLean in the No. 2 bout. Lock Haven won that match by a 6-4 score, and won the other two doubles matches contested for the session sweep and the additional point.
