MEADVILLE, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles tennis team played their penultimate fall dual match of the 2024-25 season on Saturday, falling by a 7-0 score to Allegheny on the road.
 
Facing off with a tough opponent in the Gators, the Golden Eagles' most competitive match of the day came in the No. 1 doubles match. There, Davan Lion and Josie Beckerleg went back and forth with the duo of Evie Ellenberger and Jülia Museller, essentially taking the match the distance before ultimately falling by a 7-5 score. The Gators took the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matches, giving themselves the doubles point to start the day.
 
Lion was also solid in the singles session, playing the most competitive singles match of the day for the Golden Eagles. Going against Emiliia Grydnieva, she took a pair of games from her opponent in the second set before losing 6-0, 6-2. Stephanie Juarez put up an identical score against Ellenberger at No. 3 singles, and Polia Vladeva took a game off Alejandra Villanueva at No. 4 singles but lost 6-0, 6-1.
