BEREA, Ohio --- The Golden Eagles tennis team continued their long streak of matches on the road on Sunday, falling by a 6-1 score to Baldwin Wallace at Pop Collins Tennis Courts.

Emily McMahan earned a win in singles to even her record at 4-4 for the fall, beating Saraphina Groh in straight sets. McMahan made quick work of her opponent, beating her by identical scores of 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles match.

McMahan teamed with
Taelyn Thomas for a competitive doubles match, but the duo was unable to come out on top of Gillian Brown and Samantha Thielen in the No. 2 match, with the latter winning 6-3. The most exciting match of the day came in the No. 1 doubles match, with
Davan Lion and
Polia Vladeva forcing a tiebreaker with Colleen Andersen and Olivia Koutouras. The Yellow Jackets held on for the win, though, winning the breaker 7-2.

With the doubles point in tow, the Yellow Jackets won four of the other singles matches on the court to build the 6-1 advantage. Andersen won a close match with Lion at No. 1 singles, taking it 6-3, 6-3, while Thomas and
Abby Rodgers lost by identical 6-1, 6-3 scores at Nos. 4 and 5 singles respectively.
