LATROBE, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles women's tennis team went on the road on Saturday afternoon, falling by a 5-2 score to Saint Vincent. Clarion won a pair of singles matches against the Bearcats.
 
The two teams split the doubles matches contested on Saturday, but the Bearcats earned the extra point. Taelyn Thomas and Emily McMahan picked up the win at No. 2 doubles, beating Emily Pierce and Sydney McWreath by a 6-2 score, but the Bearcats' top doubles duo beat Davan Lion and Polia Vladeva by a 6-4 score for the point.
 
McMahan and Thomas were also the winners in the singles session, winning the Nos. 3 and 4 matches respectively. McMahan beat Pierce in two close sets, winning by a score of 6-4, 6-3. Thomas, meanwhile, topped Rebecca Kurylo by a 6-0, 6-2 score.
 
Rachel Zgurich won a close match with Vladeva at the No. 2 singles match, holding her off 7-5 in the second set en route to a straight sets win, while Carolina Walters held off Lion with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Bella Baumgardner won at No. 5 singles as well, marking three of five singles matches going the way of the Bearcats.
