CLARION, Pa. --- The Golden Eagle tennis team returned to the court for their first dual match of the spring on Monday, falling by a 7-0 score to 39
th-ranked Slippery Rock at Campbell Courts.

In the doubles session, the 26
th-ranked pairing of Alissia Kivi and Nicole Kempton took the No. 1 match against
Polia Vladeva and
Emily McMahan by a 6-0 score. The Rock also took the additional two doubles matches, with Amaia Balaguer Brau and Tina Slovak teaming up to take the No. 2 match against
Taelyn Thomas, and Dari Sakhanova and Nadia Rodewald taking the No. 3 match against
Chloe Albrecht and
Alana Jackson.

The Rock took every match in the singles session, leading to a 7-0 team victory. Balaguer Brau defeated Vladeva in the No. 1 singles match, while Kivi beat McMahan in straight sets in the No. 2 singles match. Kempton, Sakhanova and Rodewald took the Nos. 3-5 singles matches respectively, while Anna Poranski won the No. 6 singles match over
Alana Jackson.
