A’Lisa (Woicicki) Funk was a main contributor to a Women’s Swimming and Diving team that dominated the PSAC and Division II from 1983-86. A’Lisa, a freestyle/butterfly specialist, was a 22-time career All-American, a five-time individual NCAA Relay National Champion and owned part of five Clarion Relay Records. Clarion dominated swimming during her tenure, winning 4 PSAC Team Titles, 3 Division II National Team Titles (1983, 84, 86) and finished third at nationals in 1985 under Hall of Fame head coach Becky Leas. In 1986, as a co-captain, Woicicki led Clarion to D-II and PSAC Titles, was a seven-time All-American, an NCAA Champ in the 400 and 800 free relay, won the 200 fly and two relays at PSAC’s. In 1985 she was a six-time All-American at nationals, part of the winning 400 free relay at nationals, won the 200 fly and three relays at PSAC’s. In 1984 she was a six-time All-American as Clarion won another national title, helped the 200 free relay win a national title, and at PSAC’s won the 200 free and 200 fly with three relay winners. In 1983, another D-II Title year, she was part of the 400 free relay national champions and won two relays at PSAC’s. At PSAC’s she was a 14 time PSAC Champion taking 4 individual titles and 10 relays. A native of Wilkes-Barre and a 1982 graduate of Bishop Hoban, A’Lisa is married to Jim Funk and have three boys Josh, Jake and Jordan. She is employed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Virginia) and resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
