            Tom Tomeo was an NCAA Division I All-America wrestler at Clarion from 1994 through 1998 under Clarion Hall of Fame head coaches Jack Davis and Ken Nellis. Tomeo came to Clarion from Grove City High in 1994 where he was a 2-time PIAA Champion. Tom put together a Hall of Fame career with an overall record of 98-34 at 134 and 142 pounds. His career culminated with his best season in 1998 when he put together a 31-7 record and an 8th place All-America finish at 142-pounds. He opened the NCAA’s with wins over David Inkman (Va. Tech) 6-3 and Willie Wineberg (Purdue) 4-1 before losing to eventual champion Jeff McGuinness (Iowa) 6-2. In the All-America round he defeated Dorian Hager (WVa.) 7-5 and stood on the All-America podium at 142-pounds finishing in 8th place at Cleveland State’s Convocation Center. Clarion finished 24th as a team at NCAA’s. Tomeo also EWL Champion and PSAC Champion in 1998 as well as Team Captain. In 1997 Tomeo wrestled at 142-pounds and posted a 17-10 mark, qualified for the NCAA D-I Nationals and went 3-2 at the NCAA’s at the UNI-Dome helping Clarion to a 14th place team finish. He also placed 4th at EWL’s and was a team captain. Tom red-shirted the 1996 season. His sophomore year in 1995 he had a tremendous campaign at 134-pounds with a season record of 31-8 and an NCAA Division I Qualifier. Going 1-2 at nationals, he helped the Golden Eagles to a 15th place team finish. He also won an individual PSAC title and placed second at EWL’s, helping Clarion to an EWL team title and the Eagles second place finish at PSAC’s. As a true freshman in 1994 Tom posted a 19-9 record at 134, placed 2nd at PSAC’s and 5th at EWL’s, helping Clarion win EWL and PSAC team titles. A 4-year starter and a two-year team captain, Tomeo notched a 98-34 career record, a three-time NCAA D-I Qualifier, nationals record of 7-7, a two-time PSAC Champion and an EWL winner. A 1998 Clarion grad with a degree in Biology, he is the owner and founder of Tomeo Technologies,  Tomeo T3 Wrestling and TNT Tours Travel. Tom and wife Anna have a daughter Emma and a son Ethan and reside in Jackson Center, Pa.
