Robert “Brad” Frazier left his mark at Clarion University, the PSAC and the NCAA as a pitcher on the Golden Eagle baseball teams in 1991 and 1992. In 1992 he pitched 52.1 innings, yielded only 22 hits with 73 strikeouts, 25 walks, 16 runs and six earned runs, for a 7-inning ERA of 0.80 and a 9-inning ERA of 1.03. He finished the season setting an NCAA, PSAC and Clarion record for 26 scoreless innings. He also led all of NCAA D-II in ERA (1.03) and strikeouts per 9-innings (12.6). He was named PSAC-West “Player of the Year”, first team PSAC-West, First Team East Region and a second team ABCA All-American under coach Rich Herman. In 1991 he tossed 51.1 innings, gave up 50 hits, struck out 60, walked 28, 35 runs and only 14 earned runs. He had a 7-inning ERA of 1.91 and a 9-inning ERA of 2.45. In his career he pitched 103.2 innings, yielded 72 hits, 51 runs, only 20 earned, struck out 133, had a record of 9-7 with a 7-inning ERA of 1.35 and a 9-inning ERA of 1.74. He was drafted in the 40th round by the Florida Marlins and spent two years with the Marlins and also one year in the Frontier League. A 5th grade teacher in the C-L School District, he has been an extremely successful head baseball coach at Clarion-Limestone, leading the Lions to 3 straight D-9 titles from 2002-2003. A 1988 Clarion Area graduate, Brad and wife Sheila have a daughter Andrea. Brad is the son of Robert and Karen Frazier of Clarion.
